The Frederick Chorale Non-Discrimination Statement:
The Frederick Chorale welcomes and values people of all races, religions, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientation, and abilities. We provide accommodations for members who use wheelchairs, walkers, music stands, or need to sit during performances. Membership is based on two key qualities: musical skill and reliability. We look for singers who can match pitch, blend well with others, and learn music quickly enough to participate in regular performances. Chorale members are expected to prioritize attendance at rehearsals and performances they’ve committed to. We welcome all who meet these expectations, as long as our numbers still allow us to fit safely onstage. We suggest a yearly donation of $200 to support our work, but any amount is appreciated—no one is turned away based on finances. We are committed to creating an inclusive space.
